If students regularly miss their session it can impact on their learning and ability to progress, as well as jeopardise your child’s regular time slot.

During the course of a term

1. Credits will not be applied for student absence

• Make up sessions will be offered, or a 50% cancellation fee can be paid if the make-up is declined
• These make up sessions will be offered at an alternative time, if possible, i.e. they may have 2 sessions in 1 week to make up the time
• If this is not possible, then sessions in the holidays at Lewiston will be offered. This can be done in any school holidays – i.e. if term 1 holidays is not convenient, it can be term 2 or the Christmas holidays.
• If the make-up session is not made up within the year, it will be forfeited.
• If a session is cancelled with at least 4 hours’ notice from their session time, (i.e. the child is sick on the day) then a make up session will be offered or if the make-up session is declined, you are required to pay a 50% cancellation fee for that session.
• If no notice is given (the session has been forgotten) or less than 4 hours’ notice is given, then no make-up session is offered, and the fee is forfeited or needs to be paid at the next tutoring session (cash payments).
• If you are planning to go away in the term, you can opt for make-up sessions or to pay the 50% cancellation fee for those weeks to reserve your spot as long as at least 48 hours’ notice is given.
• If the tutor is absent for any reason then you’ll be offered a make up lesson or a credit (you will not be penalised for the tutor’s absence)

Two weeks’ notice needs to be given if you wish to cease sessions all together.
